Chef Marco Antonio Garcia has been in non-slip shoes and an apron since he was 16 years old. Originally from Mexico City, Marco and his family moved to New Jersey in the 80’s where he began moving up in kitchen duties at Le Petite Marmite and Manhattan Ocean Club, both based in New York. After moving to Los Angeles and becoming an executive chef at Black Angus, Marco eventually started his catering business, Flavors of the World. What once began in his home in 2006 now operates in a commercial kitchen behind his casual dining eatery, Casa de Papi Mexican Grill.
He and his team take pride in creating menus with food from a variety of cultures and mastering the Mexican cuisine he serves in the San Fernando Valley. Both The Flavors of the World and Casa de Papi could not have been possible without the continuous efforts of his crew and the wonderful clients from both establishments.
Coming from a family of chefs and a father who baked, Marco’s roots will always guide him to make food with honor and love.
