Chef Marco Antonio Garcia has been in non-slip shoes since he was 16 years old. Originally from Mexico City, Marco and his family moved to New Jersey in the 80’s where he began moving up in kitchen duties at Le Petite Marmite and Manhattan Ocean Club, both based in New York. After moving to Los Angeles and becoming an executive chef at Black Angus, Marco eventually started his catering business, Flavors of the World. What once began in his home in 2006 now operates in a commercial kitchen alongside his former restaurant and now pop-up project, Casa de Papi Mexican Grill.
Marco and his team take pride in creating menus with food from a variety of cultures and they have mastered the Mexican cuisine he now serves at vendor booths across Los Angeles. Both enterprises could not have lasted decades without the continuous efforts of his crew and the wonderful clients that keep them busy.
Coming from a family of chefs and a father who baked, Marco’s roots will always guide him to make food with honor and love.
